The name of the trust shall be “BANGLADESH MEDICAL TEACHERS‟ WELFARE TRUST” (BMTWT).
The address of the Trust shall be, unless decided otherwise by the Trustees, situated at Flat no. 7, House no. 1/10, Block-B, Lalmatia, Dhaka-1215.
The operations of the trust may be run on both Bangla and English languages. In case of any confusion, Bangla will get preference.
“Bangladesh Medical Teachers’ Welfare Trust” will have a specific monogram and seal for managing its documents.
The objectives of the Trust shall be as follows-
i. Assisting in developing all the Bangladesh Government approved Medical Colleges and Hospitals through enhancing knowledge of established and evolving biomedical, clinical, epidemiological and social-behavioral sciences, as well as the application of this knowledge to patient care to become the leading institutions in the country;
ii. Focusing to improve the quality of education by strengthening interpersonal and communication skills that result in the effective exchange of information and collaboration with patients, their families and health professionals in all medical colleges and hospitals of Bangladesh to make finest medical teachers and physicians through intensifying teacher-student relationship;
iii. Becoming the striving force to prioritize commitments to carry out professional responsibilities and an adherence to ethical principles;
iv. Endeavoring to provide patient-centered care which is compassionate, appropriate and effective for the treatment of health problems and the promotion of health;
v. Striving to make arrangements of funds to inspire teachers to
participate in research activities to improve the ability to
investigate, evaluate and one‟s care in concern with patients, to
appraise and assimilate scientific evidence and to continuously
improve patient care based on constant self-evaluation and life-
long learning;
AND IT IS HEREBY DECLARED that the objectives specified above in
each paragraph shall in no way be limited or restricted by reference to
any other paragraph.The objectives can be amended and subsequently
new objective can be inserted subject to the approval of the Board of the
Trustees.
The beneficiaries of the Trust shall be as follows :
a) Teachers of different medical institutions who are members of
this Trust and/or subsequently got their name enlisted under
this Trust and their family members.
b) Medical students who are keen to get better and quality
education.
The Trust shall be non-political with a philosophy of non- discrimination with respect to gender, religion, ethnicity, orientation, language, nationality or culture.

The trust aims at the excellence of patient centered approach of medical services,infrastructural, research and professional development ensuring medical teachers' and physicians' welfare.
Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Lecturers and doctors working in medical colleges and hospitals approved by the Government of Bangladesh can become general members of the trust. Upon approval by BM&DC Graduate and Consultant doctors of government approved medical institutions and private practitioners may become member.
NB: A intern doctor may become temporary member of Bangladesh Medical Teachers' Welfare Trust.He will get permanent membership after completion of BM&DC registration.
Upon approval of the executive committee, anyone of general and associate category can become life member by giving a particular amount of subscription. They will be given special honour by the executive committee.
Respected and qualified professionals of the society may become principal donor member by giving a particular amount of subscription.They will be given preference by the executive committee.
A corporate donor is a company donating to a non-profit organization.Upon approval by executive committee a registered company may become corporate donor.
-> Members will keep their membership active by giving subscription regularly.
-> Family members and parents of the teacher will enjoy the facilities of Bangladesh Medical Teacher's Welfare Trust.
-> Members will enjoy the opportunity of participating all the medical conferences, conventions, trainings and seminars arranged by Bangladesh Medical Teacher's Welfare Trust.
-> Upon approval of the trustee board, members except principal donor members and corporate members, can participate in the election procedure of general committee and executive committee.
-> Will enjoy the facilities through the nominee.
Membership of a member will remain active until the membership is cancelled according to the laws and she/he will enjoy all the facilities of Bangladesh Medical Teacher's Welfare Trust.
-> If subscription is not paid regularly.
-> If found involved in any activity which goes against the rules and regulations of medical college and hospital approved by the government of Bangladesh.
-> If allegation of moral degradation is found proven.
-> If found involved in anything that goes against the Trust.
-> If convicted by the court of the country.
-> If the committee formed by the executive committee, through proper investigation, finds activities of a member appropriate for cancelling the membership.
Membership can be regained by paying the due amount and writing an application if it was cancelled or held-up for non-payment of subscription. If the membership was cancelled according to the subclause of 12,the membership may be regained if the executive committee decides so.
The Trust will be run by a trustee board formed by the able members of the Trust. This board will exercise its supreme authority in all matters of the Trust.

A booklet on the basis of the number of the members of Bangladesh Medical Teacher's Welfare Trust will be published. It will be preserved in a computer. The members will be notified from time to time about the activities of the Trust.

- Upon permission of the executive committee, subscription for arranging a particular function by issuing receipt.
